Carl Algermissen (piano) and Ethan Lazarus (cello) have been performing together for over 35 years. Known for writing their own original arrangements of tango music by Astor Piazzolla, this special performance will include a few of those hits mixed along with Tango, Jewish and klezmer music. They’ll be performing pieces by Chicago composer Leon Stein, “Dance Ebraico,” an original piece by Ethan, “Ragtime Hora,” and a Klezmer-inspired tango by Piazzolla, “Milonga Picaresque.”
