Dear Friend,
It’s nearly fall, and here at the National Yiddish Book Center we’re poised for a fast-paced year. The walls are going up on our new Yiddish book repository and education building; we’re designing the fantastic programs that will take place within; and we’re about to put the full contents of the Steven Spielberg Digital Yiddish Library online — thousands of texts, available to all and free of charge.
In the midst of all this, we want to extend our warmest wishes to you for the New Year. Read on for ways to celebrate. You can send a holiday e-card, check out the calendars and Rosh Hashona books in our store, or give tzedakah and support Yiddish at the same time. And don’t forget to come to our community harvest festival for a special, expanded Members Day on erev Sukkes.
All of us at the Book Center wish you a gut, gezunt yor — a happy, healthy New Year! Randi Silnutzer Membership Director

Welcome the New Year with a Yiddish e-Card! |
At the turn of the twentieth century, elaborate Jewish New Year cards took America by storm. In a mix of old and new, we’ve reproduced antique holiday cards from our Harry and Bernice Kramer Collection and brought them into the internet age. Just click on the link below, add your own message, and send free Yiddish e-cards to anyone on your address list.
